About me
Hello, and welcome to my blog.
In 2007 I married a New Zealander, and we moved from central London to a tiny little town about 100 miles from Auckland, New Zealand. We live in a little wooden house over-looking the sea with our two cats and two dogs. The cats and dogs hate each other.
This blog is about the things I make, the things I want to make, and life in general.
You can email me at thelittlehousebythesea at hotmail dot com, or leave a comment. I LOVE getting comments – please leave one!

Hi there
just responding to your comment on my blog.
Hi! How did you find my blog, it’s curious because I’m sure i found you (don’t remember how) about 6 months ago but my computer was being slow and nasty so I didn’t stay long and then forgot to come back. And now you’ve found me. Funny.

This is my first visit to your blog – I found my way here by way of Swap-bot and Flickr – Sunnysidey posted a photo of the sweet embroidered toadstool she made using your tutorial.
Reading your blog put a smile on my face – an ever better start to the day than a cup of coffee. I really enjoy the little snippets stories you’ve written. What a happy, humorous place to visit! I’ll be back.

Fabulous blog! I found it by searching for soft toy mushrooms as I am looking for a special little gift for my god daughter. I am sadly devoid of artistic talent so was wondering if you sold completed mushrooms?

I made one of your fairy toadstool houses and would love to send you some pics. I’m not a member over on Flickr so I can’t just post them there. Can’t find a contact email anywhere on your blog. If you’d like to email me, I’d be happy to share them.
Thanks for sharing your pattern!

Hello….It seems your living the life I’ve wanted to live when I retired. My dream was a cozie house by the lake with my husband and 2 cats being able to work on my crocheting and crafts at leisure. Well I’ve retired with my husband and 2 cats, but I’m still living in my house of 10 years with 4 years left until it’s paid off. I have lots of patterns and idea’s for crafts but as yet have not found the ambition to get started with anything. I like reading your blog hopeing it will give me some sort of insporation to get on with my dream. I’M STUCK

Hi, I just popped by and read some of your blog, why don’t you write anymore? It looks like a lovely place to live. One of your best photos on the blog is of you walking along the Thames with your niece in your wedding dress.
